The Skills Show 2017

The Skills Show, from WorldSkills UK, is the largest free experiential skills, apprenticeships and careers event in the UK, taking place 16-18 November 2017.

The Skills Show app will allow you to easily discover the range of activities taking place across the five industry zones at the show.

Up to 80,000 people are expected to visit the event at The NEC Birmingham, which features the UK’s leading employers, training providers and colleges showcasing apprenticeships, jobs and training opportunities. A visit to The Skills Show helps young people experience many careers in one place, raising their aspirations for getting the best start in work and life.

The Skills Show is divided into five areas, each providing a focus on particular industry sectors:

• Construction & Logistics
• Engineering & Technology
• Digital & Business
• Creative & Design

Each of the five areas encompasses:

The National Finals of the WorldSkills UK Competitions, where the best of the best compete at the highest level in their chosen skill.

Have a Go sessions, try something you’ve never done before across a huge range of careers.

Showcase demonstrations, bringing skills competitions to life for visitors, with experts and students demonstrating skills in an interactive and engaging format.

Spotlight stages featuring household names to current apprentices. Hear from “real people doing real jobs”, be inspired, and find out how they got to where they are now.
